NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation : Tahoe & Syracuse

As an oily gal I never imagined myself buying a cream foundation... but here I am with the latest Nars foundation.  I must admit I think I feel more comfortable with this cream foundation than I am with liquid foundations that I have tried (except for my mac face & body foundation which I adore)
The shade I got is Tahoe which is only available in the nars website and nars boutique stores.

This won't be a thorough review only because I just got it and I want to test it out a bit more before I decide what is up with this foundation.

As for the color match I'm not sure how I feel about it.  The shade below (Syracuse) was too light and even though Tahoe isn't so bad, I feel its not as Olive-toned as I would want it to be.  Applied to my whole face darkens it it up and kinds of makes me feel a little orangey.  I think if were to get a darker tan it would match me way better.  But I do like how even and smooth it makes me skin look.

I wanted to show you guys the dilemma I had with Syracuse...
When I applied it to my face it seemed like the right undertone unlike Tahoe which tends to look a bit orangey on me... but it was just a tad too light.  I took the pics below before I returned Syracuse back to Sephora.

As you can see without flash it looks just fine, but when I snapped that photo with flash I just looked like a ghost! So I'm debating if I should just go back and get Syracuse and just put my dark powder over it or just stick to Tahoe even though the undertone isn't really what I want?

    1. yea in this pic you can't really notice how orange it made me look so I plan on taking a full face picture outside with one half of my face with the foundation and the other half without it and hopefully it can show up how it looks like in person lol
